Cassius O’Neil Clay was born to Kizzy Poythress and Timothy Clay at 1:51 p.m. on Sept. 6. Born at Bethesda Naval hospital, baby Cassius weighed 5 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 19 inches.
He is the maternal grandson of Cash and JoLynn Poythress and the paternal grandson of Joe and Jean Clay.
