Country singer Martina McBride, who rose to stardom in the late 1990s and has sold more than 14 million albums, will highlight the Independence Day concert on Fort Stewart.

She’ll take the stage after lead-off performances by Mockingbird Sun and Mario, an R&B singer-songwriter, actor, dancer and model. Gates on Donovan Field open at 5 p.m. and the entertainment starts at 6.

McBride’s debut album, “The Time Has Come,” was released in 1992. The follow-up, “The Way That I Am,” released in 1993, was her commercial breakthrough, with the lead single “My Baby Loves Me” zooming up the country music charts to No. 2.

McBride has won the Country Music Association’s female vocalist of the year award four times.

Mario is best known for his hit singles “Just a Friend 2002” and “Let Me Love You,” which won him two Billboard awards. He’s also appeared in the films “Step Up” and “Freedom Writers.”

Mario starred alongside Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan in “Step Up,” a 2006 dance-themed film.
