David Goode, son of Ludowici residents Freddie and Janis Goode, recently was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force.
Goode is serving as the commander of the 380th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Commander in Southwest Asia. He recently graduated from the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Ala. He has a master’s degree in philosophy in military strategy. 
His wife Kristyn and two daughters, Ashlyn and Avery, live on Maxwell Air Force Base.
