Hurricanes game postponed

 

The Hinesville Hurricanes were scheduled to play Saturday in the second round of the semi-professional league’s playoffs. The game was rescheduled to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4 due to a conflict with a first-round game.

The Sept. 4 game will be played at Long Bell Stadium in Hinesville.

 

Coastal Georgia Soccer Association

 

The Coastal Georgia Soccer Association is accepting registration for recreation teams. The fee for 4U-8U players is $70 to register plus a $36.50 uniform fee, which applies to new 6U and 8U players only. The registration fee for 10U and 14U players is $85, plus $36.50 for a youth uniform or $38.50 for adult sizes.

Association officials plan to start a 14U team in Midway for players in the Fort Stewart and Midway areas. Practices will be in Midway and games will be on weekends in Savannah.
