Long Co. football/cheerleading
Applications for Long County football and cheerleading are being accepted now through Aug. 10. Fees are $25 until Aug. 10, $35 after deadline. The age brackets for football players is 7-12, and for cheerleaders is 5-12.  Forms can be turned in at the recreation complex in Ludowici. For more information call Michelle Rogers at 545-9112.

Archery exhibit
Cassie Pelton, a 17-year-old Olympic hopeful, will present an archery exhibit at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the YMCA of Coastal Georgia, 201 Mary Lou Drive in Hinesville. Call 876-2225

Hurricanes meeting

Saturday Morning Youth Bowling
