Basketball basics sessions on Sundays
Basketball fundamental sessions, led by South Georgia Kings founder Jessie Fleming, are from 1-3 p.m. every Sunday at the YMCA. The fee is $15 per session. Fleming also is organizing a new shooting club called the Young Gunz, which will meet twice a week to perfect shooting skills.

Scott’s All-Stars taking applications
Scott’s All-Stars is taking application for the 2012 season. The program is looking for boys in fifth through eighth grades who are willing to work hard in basketball, maintain a positive attitude and maintain a B average in school. The first tryout is at
3 p.m. Saturday Jan. 14 at the YMCA.

Register until Dec. 26 for YMCA hoops
Children ages 3-18 can register for YMCA basketball until Dec. 26.
Enrollment also is under way for the mixed martial arts class, which begins in January. The class is open to participants ages 5 and older.
