LCRD cheer camp in July

The Liberty County Recreation Department will conduct a cheer camp from 5:30-8 p.m. July 11-14 at Stafford Pavilion. The camp is open to children ages 7 and older, and the cost is $30 per camper.
Registrations will be accepted from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays at the LCRD office. For more information, call 876-5359.

AUSA event is today

The Association of the United States Army is hosting its third annual Golf Scramble at 9:30 a.m. today at Taylor’s Creek Golf Course.
The event is a four-person scramble and limited to the first 25 to register. Cost per team is $160, hole sponsorships are available for $100 and tee-box sponsorships are $50.
Prizes will be awarded for first-, second- and third-place teams; longest drive; closest to pin; and hole-in-one.

BI softball summer workouts

The Bradwell Institute softball team will hold summer conditioning every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. and every Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Lady Tigers’ softball field.
Participants must have current sports physicals to attend. Bring tennis shoes, a water bottle, two empty gallon-size milk/water jugs and a motivated attitude.
