CLEVELAND, Ohio — For the second consecutive  year, Georgia Southern defensive  tackle Brent Russell was selected as a preseason first-team All-American, listed in the 2011 edition of Phil Steele’s College Football Preview.  Russell earned several All-America honors in 2010 and was a Buck Buchanan Award finalist. The media organization released its All-America and Southern Conference picks Wednesday.
Thirteen members of the GSU football team were selected for first- and second-team Southern Conference honors in the magazine with eight first-team selections.
