Members of Fellowship of Love in Allenhurst are pausing today to express their love and appreciation for their leaders — and celebrating in a big way.
At 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., services will be conducted for Fellowship of Love leaders Drs. Larry and Mary Murray. The Murrays are known throughout the county and surrounding area for their bright smiles and abundance of love.
The guest speaker for the morning service is Pastor Ronald Miles of Washington, D.C.; the speaker for the evening service is Pastor Alan Robinson of Atlanta. The theme for the appreciation services is, “Leaders Preparing God’s People for Greatness.”
Larry Murray is the founder and pastor of the Fellowship of Love Church of God in Christ in Allenhurst and pastor of Fellowship of Love Community Church COGIC in Savannah. He has been in the ministry for 23 years, including serving as a pastor in Korea.
This is the Murrays’ ninth appreciation at Fellowship of Love in Allenhurst. The church’s members are excited about their leaders and the ministry.
“When thinking of our leaders, Dr. Larry S. Murray and Dr. Mary Murray, the song comes to mind, ‘I give myself away, so You can use me.’ This is truly their desires here at the Fellowship of Love as well as the local community and abroad,” said Elder Lenton and Evangelist Brianne Felton, who serve as pastor’s aid presidents. “They have a God agenda, and they seek ways to expose the people of God to better. We just want to take this time out to just appreciate and love on them for all they do for us at Fellowship of Love in Allenhurst and  Savannah. So many people are blessed by their love for God and His people.”
The Fellowship of Love family invites the public for the appreciation services. The church is at 4372 W. Oglethorpe Highway in Allenhurst.
