The Ben Robinson Band will bring an upbeat mix of blues and rock that should have the crowd tapping their feet, at Friday's Lunchtime Concert in the Park.
The concert kicks off the 2010 Lunchtime Concert Series and is from 11:30 to 1:30 in Bradwell Park in downtown Hinesville, a great place to spend your lunch hour while listening to the sounds of a talented young artist.
At 22, Robinson has an impressive resume, not to mention an incredible, upbeat and family-friendly sound. His band played a Lunchtime Concert last fall and was instantly a crowd favorite.
His father gave him his first guitar when he was only 9. Since then, he has played with Warrant, and worked with Paul Shaffer and Nickelodeon. During a recent appearance on the David Letterman show, Shaffer, leader of the CBS Orchestra said, "Of all the guests that has ever sat in with the band, no one has ever done it like Ben."
Robinson has impressed his share of stars. ZZ Top Fame's legendary guitarist, Billy Gibbons said, "I have seen a lot of smoking hot blues guitar players in my day, but I ain't never heard anyone like Ben."
Bring a picnic or buy lunch from a downtown eatery or the on-site vendor, Jones Catering that will be serving BBQ pork sandwiches, chicken wings, hot dogs, sausage dogs and fries.
