Big Apple bouncer to lose eye

A bouncer working at the Big Apple will have to have his eye surgically removed after an altercation early Saturday morning.

According to the police report on Saturday around 2:15 a.m., a fight between a female Big Apple employee and female customer broke out. The bouncer attempted to step in between the two women to stop the fight when a black male began to punch the bouncer. The bouncer fell to the ground after being punched and the male continued to punch and kick him.  

The bouncer lost consciousness during the attack and upon awakening went to Liberty Regional Medical Center. He was then transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center due to the severity of his injuries.

The bouncer’s wife made contact with the Hinesville Police Department on Sunday and advised that due to his injuries, Memorial Health would have to remove his eyeball.
