During the 2023-24 school year, Chick-fil-A Leader Academy™ will be partnering with Bradwell Institute high school to provide curriculum opportunities that teach students important leadership skills to help make a difference in their community. As part of the kickoff, the school announced that they will be joining over 36,000 high school students nationwide in an effort to give one million books to underserved youth in their local communities as part of Chick-fil- A Leader Academy™.

Thirty students were selected by Bradwell Institute to participate in Chick-fil- A Leader Academy, a national high school leadership program empowering students to make an Impact Through Action.

Through a year-long curriculum, students learn leadership principles such as teamwork, communication and innovation by engaging in monthly “Leader Labs.” These principles are put into practice when the students plan and execute an Impact Project benefiting their local community, such as a fundraiser for a local homeless shelter or a can drive for a local food bank. The students don’t just learn about leadership in the classroom — they live it out by serving and making an impact.

“Through Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, we aspire to develop and empower the next generation of leaders to have a positive influence in their local communities,” said Brent Fielder, senior director of corporate social responsibility at Chick-fil- A, Inc. “The partnership between Bradwell Institute and Chick-fil-A of Hinesville represents a shared commitment to fostering essential leadership skills in today’s students so they can ignite change and create lasting impact in the future.

Program facilitator and Bradwell Institute teacher Clint Murphy expressed optimism about this year’s class.

“We have a really strong group of students from a diverse background and diverse distribution of grades,” he said. “I’m optimistic this group will create great things in the Liberty County community.”

This year, the program is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Since the inception of Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, over 193,400 students have participated, impacting over 2.5 million people in local communities across the country. The program is fully funded through sponsorships from local Chick-fil-A restaurant operators, Chick-fil-A, Inc. and Coca-Cola.
