The 2016-2017 Leadership Liberty class visited the city of Hinesville on Nov. 2 as part of its nine-month development class, specifically to learn about city government.

Class participants toured the Hinesville Police Department and the Oglethorpe Square development on a Liberty Transit Bus. Oglethorpe Square, on Highway 84 near the Super Walmart, will be home to retail chain stores, such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx and others.

During the class participants meet at least once per month and learn about various functions of the community such as county and city government, public health, education, tourism, economic development and more.
