We aren’t changing.
Since the Coastal Courier and its predecessor newspapers began publishing in Liberty County in 1871, we have been an independent voice giving readers local news and opinion about the issues that matter most to our community.
We’re not changing our mission, and we’re not changing our ownership.
While there are major transitions happening on the national and area media landscape, the Coastal Courier continues to be owned and operated by Savannah-based Morris Multimedia, Inc. as it has been for 35 years.
We know it can be confusing. But we just want to set the record straight and let readers know that the Coastal Courier and Morris Multimedia, a privately held Savannah-based company founded in 1971 by Charles H. Morris, is not affiliated or affected by the pending transfer of ownership of the Savannah daily newspaper.
Thanks for letting us clear that up.
