DAV thanks car dealership for help

The Disabled American Veterans Chapter 46 presented an appreciation plaque to NeSmith Chevrolet on Feb. 18.
The car dealership recently provided a nine-passenger van so DAV members could attend a conference Jan. 21-27 in South Carolina.
"NeSmith gave us a new van for our people to be certified as service officers...which was really appreciated," Garlon Penland, DAV commander said.
NeSmith general manager, Mike Reed received the plaque with words of thanks and handshakes with the veterans.
DAV member Fred Thompson, said he also appreciated NeSmith's support and described Reed as "a friend of the organization."
