PJ Schneider recently was sworn in as president of the Georgia chapter of the International Association of Workforce Professionals at the chapter’s recent annual conference in Augusta. The Georgia chapter has more than 600 members in nine subchapters.
Schneider has been with IAWP, a professional association for members who work in public and private workforce-development programs, since 1999. During three of those terms, he also served as Georgia’s veterans’ chairman.
His honors with the chapter include being named Georgia’s Most Outstanding Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist. He also has received the chapter’s Veteran’s Best Friend Award and the J. Willie Roundtree Professional Performance Award.
The Hinesville Career Center of the Georgia Department of Labor in which Schneider works has won the chapter’s Group Award for Outstanding Services to Veterans in six of the past eight years and has received the international award in that category three times.
