Studio K Massage and Bodywork had a ribbon cutting Tuesday at its new location, 1060 Highway 196 W. in Hinesville.
Studio owner Kathrin May welcomed staff, friends and Liberty County Chamber of Commerce staff and board members to the event.
May opened Studio K about three years ago, but moved to its new location in September. The new location previously was a house and provides what May hopes will be a less commercialized and homier, comfortable setting for her customers. The current location has three massage rooms and an area for paraffin treatments.
Studio K currently has three massage therapists on staff. A variety of massage treatments, body scrubs and paraffin treatments are available, along with chair massages.
“We tailor the massage based on the needs of the individual client,” May said. “We attend to the client’s needs and focus on helping their problem areas instead of just doing a basic treatment.”
May said she got into this business because she wanted to offer alternative ways to restore health other than medicine.
Chamber board member Karen Bell congratulated Studio K on its new location and offered the chamber’s services to help their business.
