West Rehab and Sports Medicine recently hired Stephen Morris, PT, DPT, CMTPT, as a physical therapist at its Hinesville clinic at 475 S. Main St.
Morris will provide treatment to West Rehab patients with diagnoses ranging from orthopedic problems to post-surgical rehabilitation. This also includes creating treatment plans that could include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, modalities, dry needling and home exercise programs.
Prior to joining West, Morris was a physical therapist with Physiotherapy Associates in Stockbridge, where he examined, evaluated and treated patients.
"I chose physical therapy as my profession because it is extremely rewarding to witness a patient’s progress as they reach their personal goals throughout the rehabilitation process," Morris said. "Physical therapy is always changing, and I like the challenge of always learning new ideas or techniques to better help my patients."
Morris graduated with a B.S. in biology from Valdosta State University, magna cum laude, and earned a doctorate of physical therapy from Armstrong State University.
