HDDA Pumpkin Roll

The Hinesville Downtown Development Authority is hosting a modified pumpkin patch at Bryant Commons Park. The Drive-thru event will be from 10 a.m. until noon. People will remain in their cars and drive through the park to receive their goody bags. Pumpkin sales is available before the event and proceeds benefit the Shriner’s Hospital.

The HDDA is hosting their annual Scarecrow stROLL with a twist this year. The event will be from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Cars will line up at the Army Education Center and follow an HPD Patrol “pace” car along Memorial Drive and Main Street. Free and open to the public.

Wayne Memorial Hospital Blood drive

Wayne Memorial Hospital Blood is hosting its next blood drive on Monday, November 2, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Red Cross bloodmobile adjacent to the exterior entrance to The Café at Wayne Memorial. Appointments may be made by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or visiting www.RedCrossBlood.org and entering “wmh” as the sponsor code. Donors may streamline their appointments and save up to 15 minutes by visiting RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass to complete their pre-donation questions. Donors may also schedule their appointment on the Blood Donor App. App users may also get their digital donor card, track their lifetime donations, view their blood pressure and follow their donation on its way to a hospital.

Deadline to register for annual Illuminated Christmas Parade

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and Liberty County Convention & Visitors Bureau will host the 24th Annual Illuminated Christmas Parade on Friday, December 4th, 2020, in downtown Hinesville. The parade will begin at 6:30 pm.

Parade entry forms are due no later than Friday, November 27th by close of business. For more information about the parade or to find the parade registration forms, please contact the Chamber at 368-4445.

This year’s theme is “Ugly Sweater Christmas.” The theme celebrates the wacky, tacky and downright hilarious attire we love to sport during the holiday season.
