Twenty-one judges had a difficult task choosing the most fitting design among 15 unique concepts for a public sculpture to adorn the Memorial Drive roundabout. The panel listened intently as Savannah College of Art and Design students presented their models in the council meeting room at city hall.  “The winner’s design will be commissioned for the circle,” Hinesville Downtown Development Authority Executive Director Vicki Davis said. “The students in second and third place will have their sculptures placed at other locations in Hinesville.” For the complete story, pick up a copy of Sunday's Coastal Courier.
