Long County High School’s Art Club recently visited the Savannah College of Art and Design Museum to look at contemporary art by Glen Fogel, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Hernan Bas, an installation piece by Chiharu Shiota and other work.

The students asked faculty questions and inquired about opportunities and scholarships at the college.

Their teacher, Melissa Lambert, also announced that student Jasmine Campbell recently received a $20,000 scholarship to the Savannah School of Arts Program.

Lambert’s students will also have an art show at the school at 7 p.m. Thursday. The community is welcome.
