First Female Chair of the Liberty County Democratic Committee Elected
Camper
W. Renea Camper

The Liberty County Democratic Committee is pleased to announce the results of the December 29, 2020 Election of Officers, Committee Posts 1 & 3, and four new At-Large Members for new terms on the board.

“I’m honored to have made history having been elected the first female chair in the history of the Liberty County Democratic Committee (LCDC),” W. Renea Camper said. It has been beyond inspiring to see first-hand the impact Democrats in the LCDC has on the Liberty County and 1st Congressional District community and how its leadership is working to disseminate their energy, model, and practices state-wide. I look forward to working with the amazing officers and committee members, and the entire LCDC team to keep the momentum going! Women in politics are changing the game and we are encouraged and committed to registering voters, getting Democrats elected, and influencing policy and legislation that align with the Democratic Party of Georgia’s platform.  We invite citizens who share Democratic ideals to join us.”

The entire membership at LCDC thanks the Nominating/Elections Committee, and it is my privilege as Chair, to thank Immediate Past Chairman Ralph H. Dixon Sr. for three years of leadership, counsel, and willingness to embrace innovative ideas, and for many decades of leadership on the executive committee and his dedication to the Democratic Party. Thanks also to outgoing District 2 Post 1 Member & Past Treasurer David Anderson Sr for his many years of dedication and service to LCDC. We look forward to seeing you both at upcoming meetings, as your schedules permit.

Congratulations is also in order for the first Black Sheriff of Liberty County, William “Will” Bowman and to newly elected District 4 County Commissioner Maxie R. Jones IV.
