House damaged by fire on Pate Rogers Road

Firefighters battled a blaze in a home on Pate Rogers Road in Fleming on Sunday night, March 8, 2020.

Firefighters battled a blaze around 9 p.m. Sunday at a home on the 600 block of Pate Rogers Road in Fleming. 

The double-wide mobile home sustained heavy fire damage. No one was home at the time of the incident.

When firefighters from Lake George Volunteer Fire and Rescue arrived, flames were visible from the rear of the home. While the fire was beginning to spread what is believed to have been ammunition in the residence could be heard exploding.


Firefighters entered the home and began to extinguish the flames.


Fire officials are in the process of determining who and how many may have been affected by the fire. One of the utility companies arrived on scene to disconnect the power to the home.


Midway Fire and Rescue assisted in fighting the fire.
