The Liberty County Chamber Foundation (LCCF) distributed backpacks and school supplies to 80 local children during a Back-to-School Giveaway last Friday, held in partnership with KNS Janitorial, Southeastern Bank and other community supporters.

KNS Janitorial served as a community partner for the giveaway, while McDonald’s provided generous support for the event. Southeastern Bank also partnered with LCCF to help provide supplies and resources to participating families.

The Hinesville Fire Department also provided fire education materials, pencils and erasers for the community initiative.

“This event demonstrates what can be accomplished when local businesses, organizations and public-service agencies work together,” said Leah Poole, executive director of LCCF. “Investing in local students is an investment in the future of Liberty County, and we are grateful to every partner who helped ensure these children had the supplies they needed to begin the school year.”

The Liberty County Chamber Foundation also expressed its appreciation to the volunteers and community members who contributed to the event’s success.
