More than 3,500 Liberty County voters have cast their ballots already in early voting for the May 19 general primary.

Early voting continues through Friday at two locations — the elections office at 100 Main Street, Suite 1600, in Hinesville, or at the Liberty County Community Complex, 9397 East Oglethorpe Highway in Midway.

Through Tuesday, 3,532 voters had cast ballots in advance in-person voting and another 127 had submitted their votes through the mail or drop boxes.

Turnout in Liberty County, among its 38,297 active voters, is 9.3%. Most of the voting is in the Democrat primary, with more than 2,700 ballots cast in it so far. Republican primary voters were at 805.

Polls at the precincts will be open from 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Tuesday. Polling locations are:

  • Fleming Baptist Church Family Center, 3526 North Coastal Highway, Fleming
  • St. Luke Baptist Church Social Hall, 48 Elam Road, Hinesville
  • Progressive Church Social Hall, 901 Pipkin Road, Hinesville
  • Lyman Hall Elementary School Gym, 1396 Shaw Road, Hinesville
  • Lewis Frasier Middle School Gym, 910 Long-Frasier Street, Hinesville
  • First Baptist Church Social Hall, 220 East Memorial Drive, Hinesville
  • Liberty County Performing Arts Center, 2140 E. Oglethorpe Highway, Hinesville
