SAVANNAH — Rep. Al Williams, D-Midway, participated in the annual convention of the Georgia Municipal Association on June 22 in Savannah. Williams, a member of the House Transportation Committee, participated in a panel discussion for GMA’s Transportation Policy Committee.
He also was part of a discussion on funding options for transportation infrastructure in Georgia.
“We appreciate Representative Williams attending our convention and sharing this important information with city officials,” said GMA Executive Director Lamar Norton. “We want to maintain open dialogue between city and state government, and understanding the issues each has certainly helps foster a better partnership.”
Based in Atlanta, the GMA is a voluntary, nonprofit organization that provides legislative advocacy, educational, employee benefit and technical assistance services to its 521 member cities.
