The annual “Your State Parks Day” will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Fort King George State Historic Site, 302 McIntosh Road SE in Darien.

Volunteers will enjoy free admission to the park. “Your State Parks Day” is an opportunity to lend a hand and help with the park’s volunteer project, which is building a monarch butterfly habitat.

There will be general cleanup activities as well. This is part of the nationwide National Public Lands Day initiative.

Visitors who choose to not volunteer will pay the normal site-admission rates of $4.50 and $7.50.
