The Hinesville Police Department is currently investigating a fatal accident with a pedestrian that occurred February 19 on West Gen. Screven Way.

According to Hinesville Police Department Traffic Investigator Lt. Scott Hensler, Grant Manner, 37 was struck and killed shortly after 8:30 p.m. that night.

Hensler said a 26-year-old man was driving a 2009 Audi A-8 vehicle in the direction of Fort Stewart near Gause Street when Manner, who was on the roadway, was struck.
