According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper Trey Miller, Efrain Lozada-Gonzalez, 43, was killed in a motorcycle accident shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 84 not far from Bill Carter Road in Midway.
Miller said Gonzalez was riding west toward Hinesville when an unidentified woman driving a 1996 Honda Accord attempted to make a left turn into a local business. Gonzalez struck the woman’s left rear bumper and lost control
of his 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle sending him into oncoming traffic.
As Gonzlez slid across the highway, an unidentified man from Midway  driving a 2006 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck east on U.S. 84 attempted to avoid the motorcycle and accidently struck Gonzalez. Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene.
