While no storm watches have been issued by the Charleston office of the National Weather Service for Coastal Georgia, its forecasts are warning that two days of storms, some possibly severe, are possible.

This afternoon, "scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of an inland moving seas breeze," the forecast says. "A few of the thunderstorms could become several across inland Southeast South Carolina and Southeast Georgia, mainly along and west of Interstate 95."

Large hail, damaging wind and frequent lightning, as well as isolated tornadoes are possible. The chances for the storms are worst until 8 p.m.

Tomorrow, the storms we've been hearing so much about in Mississippi, Alabama and North Georgia will move into our area.

"The potential for severe weather will continue into Wednesday ahead of a cold front slowly approaching the region from the west," the forecast continues. Unseasonably warm conditions will create an unstable environment which will support the development of strong and severe thunderstorms."
