HINESVILLE, GA. – The Coastal Georgia Military Affairs Coalition would like to announce that Jimmy Shanken has joined the Board of Directors as an Industry Representative.
Shanken will join the Board of Directors as an Industry Representative. Jimmy will serve to guide the Coalition toward achieving its mission and is charged with the accomplishment of goals and objectives of the Coalition. He will also be responsible for reviewing and approving the annual Operating Budget, Coastal Georgia Support Plan and the annual Strategy and Work Plan.
“We are excited to have Jimmy as a member of our board and are looking forward to see what he can accomplish for our coalition members and the military community,” said Mayor, City of Hinesville/ Board Chairman, Allen Brown.
Shanken has been in the real estate industry since 2002 and is an Associate Broker with Coldwell Banker Commercial Southern Coast, Hinesville, Georgia. Mr. Shanken is also currently serving as the Chairman of the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce, has served as 2019 President for the Savannah/Hilton RCA and is the 2021 Vice Chairman for the Development Authority of Long County. He is an active member for the Georgia Association of Realtors Legislative Affairs, Global Alliance 2022/2023 Finance and Professional Standards committees and has been the Hinesville Board of Realtors RPAC Chair/Vice Chair since 2009.

Incorporated in 1999, as the Friends of Fort Stewart and Liberty County, our organization has reorganized as the Coastal Georgia Military Affairs Coalition in 2019. Our mission is to enhance the overall economic value of Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield and the surrounding communities through a progressive regional partnership.
