The Georgia Department of Transportation will have a public hearing on the controversial Palmetto Pipeline project on April 21 at the Richmond Hill City Center.

The hearing will begin at 5 p.m. The hearing is on Palmetto Pipeline LLC's application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for its project, which would run a fuel pipeline from Augusta near the South Carolina and Georgia border down to Burnswick. About seven miles of the pipeline will run through Bryan County if the project is given the go-ahead.

Comments will be accepted at the GDOT meeting and until May 1.
