Congratulations to Samuel Oliver on appointment to Public Defenders Panel
Letter to the Editor generic

To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to express congratulations to Darien attorney Samuel G. Oliver on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve on the Public Defenders Supervisory Panel for the Atlantic Judicial Circuit.

All residents of Bryan, Evans, Liberty, Long, McIntosh and Tattnall counties will benefit from Mr. Oliver’s service on the panel, which works with the Georgia Public Defender Council to ensure that clients whose cases have been entrusted to a circuit public defender receive zealous, adequate, effective, timely and ethical legal representation, consistent with the constitutional guarantees of all Americans.

Mr. Oliver’s acceptance of this new position demonstrates his commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in this new capacity of professional leadership.

Sincerely,

Dawn M. Jones

President, State Bar of Georgia
