Reader takes paper to task for letter
Letter to the Editor generic

Dear editor:

I was shocked to see that this paper printed an extremely hateful opinion piece from David Kyler of the Center for a Sustainable Coast.

Why does this paper think it’s acceptable to print such false accusations about Congressman Buddy Carter having a “mental ailment” or “bi-polar” disorder? That is shameful and one of the reasons Americans continue to be less and less trusting of the media.

Printing this disgusting letter is not only wrong, it’s offensive to the many Americans actually suffering from mental illnesses.

While I respect free speech and it’s fine if Mr. Kyler wants to express his disturbed thoughts on his own time, but I’m extremely disappointed in the Coastal Courier for printing this rant and giving it the attention it doesn’t deserve.

Sincerely,

Davia Mobley
