The Jay Smiley Memorial Golf Tournament will be Saturday at Cherokee Rose Country Club.

Proceeds this year will go to Valerie Gosseck, who is battling cancer. She is employed at the Hinesville Wal-Mart and married to Hinesville police Officer Mike Gosseck.

The entry fee is $50 per player, with cash prizes of $400, $300 and $200 going to the top three teams.
