Lady Tigers get a sendoff for Final Four trip

Bradwell Institute students and staff turned out Thursday morning to wish the girls basketball team good luck on its trip to the state Final Four.

The Lady Tigers, 26-3 on the season, will meet Langston Hughes, 28-2, Friday at 1 p.m. at the Georgia State University Sports Arena in Atlanta. Bradwell earned its spot in the Class AAAAA semifinals with a 60-58 last-second win over Woodward Academy on Tuesday.

Bradwell entered the state playoffs ranked No. 7 in the state, and Langston Hughes is ranked No. 2. The winner of that game will meet the winner of the River Ridge-Milton matchup on March 7 at the Macon Coliseum for the state championship.
