Liberty boys bounce back with win over Calvary

The Liberty County Panthers bounced back from a Region 3-AAA loss at Groves with a win Tuesday at home against Calvary Day.

The Panthers downed the Cavaliers 57-50, moving to 10-6 on the season and 7-3 in the region.

Groves beat Liberty 71-55 in Garden City on Saturday, following the Panthers’ 75-51 rout of Savannah Country Day last Friday.

The Lady Panthers fell 63-41 to the Lady Cavaliers on Tuesday night. That loss followed a 52-8 rout of Groves. Liberty also dropped a 48-28 decision to the No. 10-ranked Savannah Country Day Lady Hornets, who lead the region.

The Lady Panthers will host St. Vincent’s on Friday and both the boys and girls will host Beach on January 30.
