The Lady Tigers beat Windsor Forest, 9-3, in a Region 3B-AAAAA contest Wednesday in Savannah.
The Lady Knights’ soft defense allowed the Tigers to steal 16 bases in the game. Bradwell’s batting cemented the win.
The Lady Tigers put two runs on the board in the first inning. Neither team was productive again until the fourth inning, when BI added four more runs.
The Lady Knights came alive in the fifth inning, scoring three runs, but Bradwell answered with four more runs for the win.
Lady Tiger Kasey Smith had three hits and two RBIs. MacKenzie Stewart had three hits and an RBI.
Jessica Puckett and Heather Rego each had two hits and an RBI. Shania Eldridge and Chelsi Shutts had one hit and one RBI apiece, while Jakaria Fleming had one hit.
Stewart started the game on the hill. She walked three, struck out six and allowed one run in five innings.
Smith came in as the relief pitcher, giving up two more runs, walking four and striking out two.
The Lady Tigers moved to 5-12 overall and 3-6 in Region 3B-AAAAA with the win. They were scheduled to honor their senior players Saturday in a rematch game against Liberty County High School.
