For the second time this season, LaGrange College sophomore wide receiver and Bradwell alum Marsalis Jackson was named the USA South Offensive Rookie of the Week, according to lagrangepanthers.com.
Jackson had 124 yards on five receptions in the Panthers’ 50-26 win over North Carolina Wesleyan on Saturday in Rocky Mount, N.C. He had a 67-yard touchdown catch, which is the longest play from scrimmage for the Panthers this season. Jackson has 13 receptions this season, five for touchdowns, and averages 26.8 yards per catch. He is third in the conference with an average of 87.2 yards receiving per game.
The Panthers (2-2 overall, 2-0 in the league) host Maryville on Saturday for their homecoming game.
