LCRD introduces new program
The Liberty County Recreation Department is introducing a new fitness program. Stroller Fit Moms is a workout for prenatal and postpartum mothers. Registration is under way. The group will meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10-11 a.m. on the track at Liberty Independent Troop Park. The fee is $35 per month for unlimited classes. The program starts April 8. All you need to bring is your stroller (plus baby or babies), water, snacks, towel/mat and a 5- or 10-pound set of dumbbells. For more information call instructor Jessica Benton at 876-5359.

LCRD adult softball
The Liberty County Recreation Department is accepting team entries in March adult softball. Divisions for men and women teams are open, church, co-ed (church and open), industrial and 40-over.

Officials and scorers needed
The Liberty County Recreation Department is accepting applications for officials and scorekeepers for T-ball, softball and baseball.  
All programs start in April and continue into June. Applications may be obtained at the LCRD office from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Eighth-grade basketball tourney
The St. James Coastal Crew Rebels eighth-grade basketball team will host other area eighth-grade teams for an evening of basketball, beginning at 5:30 p.m. March 28. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for kids.

5:30 p.m. Scott’s All*Stars vs. Liberty Blazers
6:30 p.m. Elite Rebels vs. SE Georgia Shooters
7:30 p.m. Blazers vs. Rebels white team

Golf tourney fights cancer
The second Battlefighters Golf Tournament will start at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Cherokee Rose Golf Course. All proceeds will benefit the Liberty County Relay for Life.
First prize is $200, second prize is $150 and third prize is $100. Door prizes will be given away. The first golfer to hit a hole-in-one on No. 3 will win a 2013 Impala from Mike Reed Chevrolet. A meal will be served at the end of play.
Cost to enter is $50 for an individual and $200 for a team. Hole sponsorship is $100.

Relay For Life Golf Tournament
SNF Chemtall is hosting a Relay For Life Golf Tournament at noon Sunday, March 24, at the Crosswinds Golf Club. The format is a four-man scramble. The entry fee is $60 and includes 18 holes of golf, range balls and food. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. Hole sponsorships are available for $100. Bowling tourney on Fort Stewart
Fort Stewart’s USBC Bowling Association annual teams and doubles championship tournament will be April 6-7 at Marne Lanes.
Teams consist of four bowlers in any combination and will compete from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 6. The doubles tournament will run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 7. There will be two handicap-scoring divisions.
