The Bradwell Institute cross-country teams added a couple more wins to their respective seasons Saturday at the Ebenezer Invitational at South Effingham. There were 11 teams participating in the event with about 120 runners in each division.
Four Tigers placed in the top six, and all of the Bradwell boys finished in the top 20. Senior Wesley Worthy ran the course in 17 minutes, 44 seconds to finish third. He was followed by David Thornton at 17:55 and Zack Motes  with a time of 18:04 in the fourth and fifth slots.
Jamorris Hill finished sixth, and Luis Salcedo came in at 19th to cement the victory.
“The guys ran very well. This was our best run overall as a team this season,” cross-country coach Brian Williams said. “It’s rare that you have everyone clicking on the same day, and when everyone is at their best, it’s really exciting to watch.”

Overall, Bradwell finished with a score of 37 for the win. Wayne County finished second with 78.
The Lady Tigers finished sixth overall. Sherina Hornsby led the way with a time of 23:21. Jaelin Sample, Shaunquelle Sapp, Erina Veliz and Kaylie Durham were the other scorers for the Lady Tigers.
The boys’ and girls’ JV teams also won with a dominating performance.
Markell McKee, Taylre Moore, Jason Clayton, Jacoby Hardy and Trayvon Harris all finished in the top 10 for the boys.
Despite falling down three times, Katara Burks finished first individually with a time of 24:05 and was followed by Alicia Santiago, Shawntrese Sapp, Natesha Harned and Brittney Young.
“I’m very pleased with our progression so far this year,” Williams said. “We’ve been working extremely hard this year, and it feels good when the kids can see all of their hard work pay off.”
The Tigers’ next meet is at the Jaguar Invitational on Oct. 8 in Evans.
