The 16U and 17U St. James Coastal Crew Rebels are headed to the AAU National Tournament this weekend at the EPSN/Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., bringing their AAU season to a close just before the school year begins.

The 16U boys will be coached by Reginalde Castille and the 17U team will be guided by new head coach David Linderman, Rebels’ founder Ernie Walthour said.

"I want to thank Ernie for giving me this opportunity," Linderman said. "It’s a big opportunity for me and I’m really excited about it, and Ernie has taken a big step back so I can have a little bit of time to be the head coach and I want to thank him for that."

Linderman said he has a strong squad of players from Savannah and the local area. He said he thinks they’ll do well at the tournament because the group is finally coming together.
