Chuck Stewart recently spoke at the Goldenheirs’ March meeting and shared details of his recent trip to Scotland with club members. Stewart, who delivered a PowerPoint presentation, said he has a genuine interest in Scotland because his ancestors were the Stewarts of Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland.
Stewart’s brother, Don, also went on the trip.
As the pair traveled through Glasgow and toured other landmarks, they filmed the countryside and many old castles, Stewart said.
The Goldenheirs is a senior group that meets on the first Tuesday of every month.
Their next meeting is at noon Tuesday, April 3. There will be a covered-dish lunch in First Baptist Church’s fellowship hall followed by a presentation by guest speakers Pastor Roy and Stacy Broughman.
