Post office food drive is Saturday

The National Association of Letter Carriers will have its annual food drive Saturday in Liberty County.
Collecting a little over 9,000 pounds of food in the 2006 drive, the Hinesville Post Office, in conjunction with the United Way, distributed the food to the Liberty County Manna House, Tri County Protection Agency and New Life Family Church.
Non-perishable food items were collected from residents who were asked to leave food beside their mailboxes so letter carriers could pick it up.
The National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive Day is carried out in over 10,000 cities and towns across America.
