The Coastal Bank, a locally owned and operated community bank headquartered in Savannah, recently hired James E. Rogers as senior vice president and executive of the Hinesville and Liberty County market. In his new position, Rogers will oversee all banking activity in the Hinesville market.
Before joining The Coastal Bank, Rogers served as the first vice president of commercial lending at The Heritage Bank in Hinesville, where he worked for 23 years.

Rogers has a long history of community service and currently serves as vice chairman of the Liberty County Hospital Authority, secretary of the Liberty County Facilities Authority, a board member of the YMCA in Hinesville and a member of the Mary Lou Fraser Community Support Board. He is the past president of the Hinesville Rotary Club and past chairman of the United Way of Liberty County.
Over the years, Rogers has earned numerous awards and honors. He has been recognized by the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce as the Business Person of the Year and by the Hinesville Rotary as the Rotarian of the Year.
Raised in Liberty County, Rogers graduated from Bradwell Institute, earned a B.B.A. in accounting from Georgia Southern University and graduated from the Graduate Banking School at the University of Colorado. He currently resides in Liberty County.
