Construction is under way on a new Tractor Supply Company store in Hinesville, the company’s 54th Georgia location. The retailer is setting up shop in the former builder supply store and lumberyard at 766 W. Oglethorpe Highway, across from Walmart.
Tractor Supply is the largest retail farm and ranch supply chain in the United States and has been operating in Georgia since 2000.
The Hinesville store will employ 12-17 full- and part-time team members and will include sales-floor and support-service space. A fenced exterior space will be used for storage and displaying items like fencing, sprayers and livestock equipment.
“Tractor Supply looks forward to being a member of the Hinesville community,” district manager Don Dillard said. “Hinesville is a great fit due to the part-time and hobby farmers and horse owners in the area. And many of our new customers are surprised to find we also offer pet supplies and clothing items for the entire family.”
The contractor for the project, D.M.B. Construction LLC of Corpus Christi, Texas, began construction June 30. A completion date tentatively has been set for late September.
Tractor Supply Company operates more than 1,300 stores in 48 states. For more information, go to www.TractorSupply.com.
