City council on budget: Cut deeper

Hinesville City Council sent the city’s $38.6 million draft budget for fiscal year 2011 back to its budget committee Thursday, directing the committee to “cut deeper.” Recommended employee furloughs and a proposed .5 millage rate increase did not sit well with council members.
