University of North Georgia

DAHLONEGA - For the fall 2023 semester, the University of North Georgia (UNG) awarded 989 degrees and certificates to graduates. Many of the graduates participated in the fall 2023 commencement ceremonies held Dec. 16 at the Convocation Center at UNG’s Dahlonega Campus.

Taylor Elkins of Hinesville graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Piedmont University

DEMOREST - Kaaitlyn Edgeman of Midway was among 168 Piedmont University students who completed degree requirements during the fall 2023 semester. Edgeman earned the MA in Educational Studies degree.

Piedmont’s Vice President for Academic Affairs Bruce Willis addressed the graduates during a commencement ceremony held Friday, Dec. 15, in the Johnny Mize Athletic Center on the Demorest campus.

In addition to the Education Specialist and Doctor of Education degrees, degrees conferred included the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Arts, and Master of Business Administration.
