Keeping true to their mission, the women of Kappa Epsilon Psi recently visited the Liberty County Boys and Girls Club, established in Hinesville in 2023. Their mission was to support the academic, athletic, social and familial growth and expansion of all the young bodies and minds of the LCB& GC members.

KEY chapter president Michelle Addison and multiple members of the local sorority visited the Club on January 3 to tour the facility, meet some of the child members, and speak of future opportunities to support. Additionally, Addison donated a check for $250 to programs lead Dee Gillium. The much-needed funds will shorten the growing list of equipment and supplies.

Club officials said words can ill express the level of appreciation and gratitude that the Liberty County Boys & Girls Club owes Addison and the Kappa Epsilon Psi sorority for its most benevolent pledge of support. The Club appreciates their commitment to its daily activities. Out of its more than 170 members, over 70 children entered its doors during June 2023 to participate in the inaugural LCB& GC Summer Camp. Each child was provided access to a caring, safe environment to thrive with professional, adult-supervised academic, athletic, and social learning activities.

Kappa Epsilon Psi (KEY), the second Greek-lettered sorority established for and incorporated by U.S. armed forces women and dependents, was founded on April 4, 2011 in Pembroke Pines, Florida. As an alternative to the traditional college and university Greek letter organizations for female service members and dependents, its mission aspires to “Honor all past female service members, Unite present female service members, and Mentor future leadership of the U.S. Armed Forces” through camaraderie and community service.

The LCB& GC, a subunit of the Frank Callen Club in Savannah, joins that legacy of boasting 105 years of service as the oldest chartered club in the state of Georgia.
