Five Lewis Frasier Middle School Chorus Students participated in the Georgia Music Educators Association, 2019 All-State Chorus. From left are Joshua Smith, Taylor Smith, Alimoura Graham, Chanda Stalls, LFMS Chorus Director, Connor Hamilton and Alphonso Brooks. Acceptance into the chorus consisted of two rounds of auditions. The students traveled to the Classic Center at the University of Georgia in Athens and spent three days in rigorous rehearsals with more than 1,500 other middle and high school students. The GMEA is comprised of six chorus groups with Georgia’s most talented youth vocalists, conducted by the country’s most renowned instructors. The event culminated in an exhilarating musical performance last Saturday, Feb. 16.  Hats off to Chanda Stalls, Chorus Director at Lewis Frasier, for her tireless efforts in developing “melt your heart” voices and fostering in students a love for the arts.
